• Extended Wheel life with reduced wheel dressing.
• Suitable for grinding a variety of hardened steels.

 

Ruby  Aluminium Oxide 

 

A premier abrasive wheel which contains a small percentage of chromium oxide. Chromium content allows the grain to splinter giving it a self sharpening effect. Hardness is similar to that of white aluminium oxide. Toughness is greater than that of white aluminium oxide. Outstanding durability with long lasting wheel performance. Typically used on harder steels  which need a cool, friable cutting action to avoid burning. Ideal for grinding a variety of medium and hard to grind high speed and cast alloy steels. Such as high speed cutters, end mills, reamers etc.
