F1 CBN Wheel – highly cost effective – MADE IN ENGLAND

The F1 CBN Wheel cuts rather than grinds; it is, therefore suited to machining hardened steel components and especially thin and unsupported sections.
The cutting action significantly reduces pressure and heat build up, leading to a major reduction in any tendency to distort the product.
The wheel can be used dry or wet and offers lower power requirements compared to traditional grinding wheels.

The F1 CBN wheel represents a major advance in grinding technology, especially with regard to the grinding of difficult materials.

D2 60-64 Rc Hardness
M2 60-64 Rc Hardness
High Speed Steel 60-64 Rc Hardness
Ferro-tic (a bonded titanium material with 10x the wear resistance of common tool steels)
CPM 64 Rc Hardness (Martensitic stainless steel used for knives – much tougher than D2)
Molybdenum used in the pharmaceutical industry.
TiCN coatings at 88Rc Hardness (enables punches to be re-sharpened)

Grinding trials have proved that although many applications are with surface grinding, most of the materials listed above have been successfully cylindrically and internally ground.
